The IQ800 is a compact, high-capacity 800 GPD tankless reverse osmosis system for homes and small offices in Cyprus, including Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca.
Instead of storing purified water in a conventional RO pressure tank, the IQ800 produces filtered drinking water directly when you open the drinking-water faucet, at up to 2.4 litres per minute. How the IQ800 Replacement Filter Is Changed
The IQ800 uses a bayonet-style replacement system. The manufacturer’s maintenance procedure requires the incoming water to be closed, pressure to be released through the faucet and the electrical supply to be disconnected before removing the filter.
The used filter is turned anticlockwise and removed. The new cartridge is inserted into the corresponding housing, pushed into position and turned clockwise to engage the bayonet connection.
After replacement, the system is reconnected, the incoming water is opened, air is purged through the drinking-water faucet and all connections are checked carefully for leaks. The filter-change counter must then be reset according to the IQ800 instructions.
After a New IQ800 Filter Is Installed
After the filter-change counter is reset, the IQ800 performs an automatic 60-second flushing cycle.
Fine activated-carbon particles can temporarily make the initial water appear dark after installing a new filter. This is normal for a new carbon-containing cartridge. Allow the water to run until it becomes clear and discard this initial water before normal use.
Automatic Flushing & Filter Monitoring
The IQ800 includes several automatic flushing functions. According to the system instructions, flushing occurs when the unit is powered on, after accumulated operation, after an extended period without use and following maintenance when the relevant counter is reset.
A manual flushing cycle can also be started using the system’s Flushing/Reset control.
The IQ800 also monitors calculated filter and membrane life so that maintenance status can be seen from the system indicators.
Important Maintenance Information
The IQ800 maintenance instructions specify sanitisation when a filter, membrane or another component in contact with water is replaced, and when the system has not been used for more than one month. The instructions then specify running water through the drinking-water faucet for approximately 10–15 minutes before normal use to flush the food-grade preservative from the new membrane.
